Certification Requirements

To learn to SCUBA dive you must complete:

1. eLearning
2. Pool Training
3. Four Certifying Ocean Dives.

Divers conveniently do the eLearning program at home using their favorite device.  Pool training is done over a single weekend or during weeknight sessions.  Then the Four Certifying Ocean dives can be completed with Scuba Fusion at Monterey or while on vacation in Hawaii or Cozumel as referral divers – selections available during checkout.

Some personal gear is needed

Students need their own mask, snorkel fins and boots.

It is very important to test and work out the bugs in a pool before going to the ocean.  This is not a snorkeling class. Buy from the store you are taking lessons with that way you can exchange anything that does not work during pool programs. The store provides the rest of the gear needed such as tanks and suits to use while you learn to SCUBA dive.

Get Ready

Orientation: Sign up a week or two in advance.  You will need to visit the store to fit the gear needed for pool sessions, sign liability and medical paperwork and pick up personal gear if needed. Orientation must be done in person.  No appointment is necessary come down anytime during business hours.
