Description
PADI Rescue Diver Program
Saturday will begin at the Scuba Fusion Dive Center with a short class session and equipment checkout. After a break divers will reconvene at the pool to learn and practice basic rescue skills.
Sunday morning divers meet in Monterey for the ocean rescue checkout dives. Be prepared for a long day.
Once booked you will receive a e-mail greeting from your instructor with more details regarding directions, homework and other instructions for this course.
When:
Sat 3:00pm – 6:30pmish Class and Pool San Mateo
Sun 8:00am – 1:30pmish 2 Beach Dives Monterey
Where:
Pool dives are completed in San Mateo while the beach dives are conducted very close to Cannery Row Monterey. Directions to the meeting sites will be handed out once liability paperwork is signed at Scuba Fusion in San Mateo.
Cost:
Price includes the new PADI digital certification card and instruction. Academics and equipment are not included.
Course $299
Academics can be completed by 1 of 2 ways: Book academics: $49 OR, eLearning by Padi for $210
Diving equipment is not included.
Prerequisites
Divers must be an Advanced diver and have current CPR First Aid or EFR to take this course. The CPR First Aid program that is taken must include in-person modules and not be infant CPR. Divers will need to complete academics in the form of the PADI eLearning Rescue Program. More about Rescue eLearning >
Equipment Needed:
Students will need their own Personal and Instructional gear for this course. Scuba Fusion rents all of the diving gear needed except Personal gear which is a mask, snorkel, boots, fins and gloves. However, it is strongly recommended that divers have their own diving gear at this point.
Age:
12 and up with certifications
Also, these dives are a great opportunity to break in new gear. You will dive in varying conditions to see what works and what does not. A Scuba Fusion instructor/divemaster will be with you every step of the way to guide you with new equipment.
