Part 1, of certification called the Referral Program, allows you to learn basic scuba skills in a comfortable pool before completing part 2 the ocean checkout dives. Do part 2 with us in Monterey famous for its kelp forests or go off as a referral to any vacation destination like Cozumel or Bonaire.
Part 1 – Pool & Academics Referral Program
Part 1, students learn diving theory through the PADI eLearning program from home. Pool work in San Mateo covers essential skills such as mask clearing, buoyancy control, regulator recovery, and more. After successfully completing this phase, you’ll be ready to travel and complete your open water checkout dives anywhere in the world.
All essential scuba gear (except personal gear) is provided during training. For safety and sanitary reasons we do not rent personal gear and nor should you!
Part 2 – Ocean Checkout Dives
Part 2 involves ocean checkout dives. Join us locally in Monterey, CA for a world-class diving experience, or opt to finish your dives on a family vacation in Cozumel or Bonaire. Either way, you’ll have a certified instructor by your side to guide you.
