Feb 22-23 Weekend Pool Program

Age Requirement: Students must be 12 years or older to participate in this program.

Saturday begins at the store with instruction on setting up scuba gear. After a break all divers visit the pool (just a 6 min drive) for in-water skills. Divers will need to transport diving gear to the pool. A vehicle of some kind will be needed. The facility is nice with hot showers and changing rooms.

Sunday starts directly at the pool unless divers need to exchange gear or get fresh cylinders. Grads earn Referrals used to finish certs abroad or with us at Monterey. Instructor’s advice: “Get a good fitting mask and real diving fins .

Prerequisites:
Divers need to visit the school a week or more prior to size pool gear and sign(in-person) the medical questionnaire. No appointment necessary. Certain answers provided on the medical may require candidates to seek medical clearance from their primary care. Divers cannot participate in pool or ocean dives without a waiver if needed. Mask
Snorkel
Fins
Boots
Gloves (Cold water divers only)

Directions to the pool facility will be handed out during the Saturday gear setup.

Parents / Drivers Pickup and drop off schedule:
Saturday drop off at 2:00pm at store.
Pickup at 3:30 and take to the pool
Pickup from pool at 6:00pm

Sunday drop off at 3:45pm at the pool
Pickup at 6:00pm at the pool and return to store for gear return
