Learn to dive here and get your PADI Beginner Cert all in the Bay Area!
Part 1 of certification, called the Referral Program, covers dive theory through at home eLearning and basic scuba skills in a comfortable pool. Once you’ve completed that, Part 2 involves ocean checkout dives. You can do your ocean dives with us in Monterey, famous for its kelp forests, or take your referral to a vacation destination like Cozumel or Bonaire and complete the certification there.
Pool & Academics
Part 1, students learn diving theory through the PADI eLearning program from home. Pool work in San Mateo covers essential skills such as mask clearing and buoyancy control and more. After successfully completing this phase, you’ll be ready to travel and complete your open water checkout dives anywhere in the world.
All essential scuba gear (except personal gear) is provided during training. For safety and sanitary reasons we do not rent personal gear and nor should you!
Ocean Checkout Dives
Part 2 involves 4 ocean checkout dives usually over a weekend. Join us locally in Monterey, CA for a world-class diving experience, or opt to finish your dives on a family vacation in Cozumel or Bonaire. Either way, you’ll have a certified instructor by your side to guide you.
